ALARMS

Silver Security carry out non-obligation consultations and site surveys for any system whether the requirement is for internal or external (perimeter) safeguard in order to provide a quotation. A full system point is produced once the installation is confirmed. All our systems are installed to high standards as specified by British & Europe Standards and are inspected by independent NSI Inspections.

Alarms are installed in three categories for internal alarms:-

Standalone: This is a simple “bells only” system which sounds when activated and is ordinarily installed in housing properties. The alarm will sound for 15 summary and then reset itself unless there is a reason for it to reactivate. Present standalone systems will activate a maximum of three times before the sounder is terminated.

These systems are used to protect housing properties and small businesses that do not hold valuable stock/information.

Standalone alarms are the most cost effective alarm systems to install and require no maintenance agreement even if it is recommended that all alarm systems are serviced once a year but often there is no response to this level of alarm.

Monitored: This is a similar system to the standalone but is monitored by a monitoring station. When the alarm is activated it sends a signal to the monitoring station who then contacts the “key holder”. This ensures a response to the alarm by an appropriate self.

Police Response: Same as the monitored system but with a URN (UNIQUE REFERENCE NUMBER) to allow a police response to a activation on a confirmed alarm (if two or more detectors are activated ). The monitoring station then contacts both the police and the key holder.

These systems are used to protect housing properties and small businesses that do hold valuable stock.

In order to have continued cover from a monitoring station a maintenance agreement has to be in place which will include an annual service.

These systems are used in commercial premises where a response is required and are ordinarily specified by the insurers of the property and are greatly recommended for all premises where high value stock and/or cash is held.

BT Redcare is a constantly monitored phone line which if cut or tamped with will contact the monitoring station.
